These are plastic spike strips, 50 cm long, for the tops of walls, fence rails and ledges. The points make a surface awkward to sit or rest on.
They are injection moulded from weatherproof plastic, so they stand up to sun and rain outdoors.
Fix each strip with screws, outdoor adhesive tape or glue. There is nothing to assemble, and you can cut a strip to fit a short gap.
Please read this before buying for snakes. A spike strip on a wall top is not a sealed barrier. Snakes can pass through gaps, under gates and through drains, and no strip will keep them out of a garden.

Will these strips keep snakes away from my home?
No. A strip on a wall or fence top is not a sealed barrier, and snakes can get in through gaps, drains and under gates. We do not sell these strips as protection against snakes.
Why is the product called Snake Spikes?
That is the name the listing has always used, and we kept the web address. The honest description is a plastic spike strip, and this page explains what it can and cannot do.
What should I do if I find a snake at home?
Keep people and pets well away, do not try to catch or move it, and call a trained snake handler or your local rescue service. In an emergency in Thailand, call 199.
What makes a house less attractive to snakes?
Short grass, no piles of wood or rubbish near the house, sealed gaps under doors and gates, and no food lying around that attracts rats. Snakes follow shelter and food.
Where can I fit the strips?
On the tops of walls, fence rails, gate tops, window ledges and similar flat or slightly curved surfaces.

Can I fit them on a curved surface?
The base flexes a little, so gentle curves are fine. On tight curves, cut the strip into shorter pieces.
Can I fit them on a metal fence?
Yes. Use outdoor adhesive tape, glue suitable for metal, or self-tapping screws.
Can I remove them later?
Screwed strips come off easily. Glued strips may leave residue on the surface.
Do they work against birds?
They make ledges awkward to land on. For pigeons and other birds, our dedicated bird spike products are a closer fit.
Do they work against cats?
Many people fit wall-top strips to discourage cats walking along a wall. Results vary from cat to cat.
How do I clean them?
Brush off leaves and dirt, or rinse with water.
Will they fade in the sun?
The plastic is made for outdoor use, though any plastic can lighten in colour after years in strong sun.
